HARRIS WINS STANTON GROUP MINNESOTA GOLF CHAMPIONS
Professional John Harris of Edina CC shot a final round 2-under par 70 for a 54-hole total of 8-under par 208 to win the Stanton Group Minnesota Golf Champions at Bearpath Golf and Country Club in Eden Prairie, MN.

HANSON LEADS AT STANTON GROUP MINNESOTA GOLF CHAMPIONS
Professional Kane Hanson of Detroit CC battled poor conditions to shoot a second roud 2-under par 70 and lead the Stanton Group Minnesota Golf Champions at Bearpath Golf and Country Club in Eden Prairie, MN.

The first round of the Stanton Group Minnesota Golf Champions is underway at Bearpath Golf and Country Club. Follow the action as amateur Clayton Rask of Monticello CC tries to defend his title. The Stanton Group Minnesota Golf Champions is presented by TaylorMade adidas and Bushnell and open to the public to watch.

TAYLORMADE-ADIDAS GOLF PGA STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Section member Jeff Sorenson of Columbia Learning Center is tied for second place one shot off the lead after the first round of the TaylorMade-adidas Stroke Play Championship being held at PGA Golf Club in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Sorenson is at 5-under par 67 and trails Mark Brown of Oyster Bay, New York. Section Player of the Year Don Berry of Edinburgh USA is tied for seventh at 3-under par 69. Other Section members competing include Adam Guili (76), Michael Zinni (77) and Kris Smith (78).

PGA MCGLADREY TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
2008 will mark the second annual PGA McGladrey Team Championship. After soliciting feedback from several PGA members and sections, a few changes have been made to next years edition.

SORENSON WINS FIRST SRIXON PGA TOURNAMENT SERIES EVENT
Section PGA member Jeff Sorenson of Columbia Learning Center survived a four person play-off to win the first Srixon PGA Tournament Series event held November 26-27 on the Wanamaker Course at PGA Golf Club. Sorenson finished the 36-hole event at four-under par 140. Other Section members finishing in the money included Michael Zinni of Mankato Golf Club finished, who tied for 23rd at three-over par 147 and Chris Peterson of Northfield Golf Club, who tied for 28th at four-over par 148.

TAYLORMADE ADIDAS PGA ASST PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
Congratulations to Section Assistant Professional Joe OBrien of Minneapolis Golf Club who finished tied for 20th at the 2008 TaylorMade adidas PGA Assistant Professional Championship October 25th-28th at PGA Golf Club in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. OBrien finished the event at 3-over par 291. Section Assistant Professionals Kris Kroetsch of Moorhead Country Club, Ben Meyers of Medina Golf and Country Club, Matt Norgaard of Somerby Golf Club, and Marshall Hoiness of the Minikahda Club all missed the 36-hole cut of 6-over par 150.

The PGA Golf Club in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, welcomes 264 senior PGA Professionals this week for the Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship. The field includes Section Professionals Mike Barge, John Dahl, Brad Schmierer and Mike Zinni.
